Okkkk. So a lot has happened over the last week.

Jewel was in Oklahoma for a funeral of one of her uncles and I took off Sun and Mon to spend itme with her and be with her at the funeral. It was really nice seeing her again and being able to spend time with her even if the occasion was a somber one.

On Sunday after we did the casket viewing thing we went over to the animal shelter. Jewel wanted me to get a little dog for me. I didn’t find any that I liked or thought would fit, so we headed over to the cats and after spending a lot of time there I ended up getting two cats. One is white with brown markings named Ripley, and one is black with white markings named Belladonna. I need to post pictures of them which I will soon. I haven’t been able to get good pictures of them because they don’t understand the word pose. They are really beautiful sweet cats. I think they are going to be good for me and help me with some things. I hope we all get along and stuff.
On Monday was the actual funeral, after the funeral we went to Goprum and had a really good meal. The food was yummy. I am glad that I took the time off for the funeral because I think Jewel really needed me and I was there for her. Her family is not supportive/understanding of her veganism and the fact she saves chickens from death and mistreatment. Pretty typical attitudes for this part of the country for sure.
Tuesday I spent the day relaxing and bonding with the kitties. I also did some cleaning and straightening of the house, something I need to really get done quick with new tenants. Yesterday was a bad day for the kitties. We went to the vet to get checked up and Ripley did not like getting her temperature checked at all. Belladonna has ear mites I have medicine for and they both have a virus from being in the shelter, the OKC shelter crud as the vet put it, which is pretty typical with humans too, so I got some medicine for that too.

Today I was awoken early by dad to go to one of his friends business, one of those extortionware got installed on his assistants computers, and I had to work on getting that removed, I had to leave with the scan still being done, and so I have to go back tomorrow to fix. Also now that I know what it is, when I get home I am going to have another plan of attack in case the bootable av sw I ran didn’t fix. It sucks being away from the kitties, and sidestepping the plans I had for today, but at least I will have a little extra money to have since I need to do an oil change and a couple of other things soon.

Anyway I am tired and ready for bed now. I know I have to go home and do some work before returning tomorrow and doing it all over again.

Ok, I have been back from vacation for a few days now. I guess I should talk about it. (It only took me a month to post…)

On Sunday I woke up early and flew into Denver. I found myself a little bar in the concourse and had a Fat Tire from draft. It was so good. I savoured every bit of that beer. I miss it and wish it was available here.

I got into Oklahoma by about 5pm or so. Dad took me to his favourite Mexican restaurant and we had some food. After that we went home and I unpacked and tried to stay warm in that house. It is such a big house that it would cost $800 a month to heat, so he uses oil heaters to keep the bedroom warm and only warms it when he gets home, so it is cold and takes a while to rewarm.

The next day I hung out with my dad for a while and then headed up to visit Tammy for a while. It was good seeing her again and she was in the process of moving to her new home, so I helped her with that and getting things in order.

On Tuesday I helped my dad get his TV hooked up and stuff and relaxed and stuff.

On Wednesday I headed up to Tammy’s house and hung out with her. Sat in her car as she ran her fivety billion errands and stuff then ate at Olive Garden. I ended up staying the night there but sleeping on her floor, and then the next day spent helping her with her tree and arranging things and watching her clean. We went out to eat and ate at PF Changs. We didn’t know we were going to eat there but ended up there. At first we were going to eat at a little Thai place in down town OKC but that place turned out to be nasty, so then we were on the hunt for some place different and two hours later we were there.

On Friday I hung out with my dad and helped him shop for stuff and ate at Mamavicas again. As well as went to see my grandma at the nursing home. It was sad to see her there and to know that she is pretty much a living breathing shell.

Saturday I spent time looking through grandmas home and taking pictures of it.

On Monday I drove around with my dad while he was working and saw a bit of OKC. After he was done I headed up to Tammy’s house and we went out to the movies at the Warren Theatre and sat in the balcony and saw a movie called The Tourist. It was pretty good. Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp were in it. After that we ate at Chillis and then I had to go home to wake up early for the flight home.

On Tuesday I woke up at 4 am to get on a flight to Denver. There I met up with Jewel and we proceeded to down town Denver to eat at a vegetarian restaurant called Watercress. I had really good vegan buckwheat pancakes with Earth Balance and she had a really good breakfast borrito. For desert I had a rich chocolate peanut butter bar and then we drove around Downtown Denver a bit, stopping at Wax Trax. Then we drove down Colfax and I saw a few old theatres I saw many many concerts at. Brings back memories. I miss Denver. Once we got to Jewels house we saw all her rescued chickens (she has about 20 of them) and pig and parrots and cats and dogs. We talked and caught up on things. We are going to have to visit each other more often I think. I definitely need to get back up to Denver again soon. I miss that place. Before I knew it, it was time to go back to the airport to go home. Time just went by way too fast. While at the airport I had time for a couple more Fat Tires before the plane boarded. Then I was off back to reality.

I have had a recurring dream the last few days or so. I am at a strange airport with some friends (who I don’t know) waiting for my layover which I know is at least 6 and a half hours. Everyone decides to go their separate way and I run into a friend, (who was not a part of the original group) Jewel. It was weird running into her because she didn’t know I was going to be there (I think) and she had her own agenda and was on a long layover too. (maybe overnight or weather related or because that is how airlines like to fuck us). Anyway we are both surprised to see each other and hug and decide to hang out. We end up somewhere on those airport chairs and are resting. I am slouching on the chair and she is resting her head and chest on my shoulder, neck, and chest with her hand on my chest as well. That is all I can remember of it. I remember how nice it was.

I put my self on the scale today and I have lost nine pounds since the end of Jan. I am glad I am still on the losing track, however I was hoping to lose a bit more by now. I am still doing pretty good on everything. A little slip here and there, but that happens.

My house has felt so empty since Tammy left. I can still see and smell remnants of her being here, and I remember all her girl things (lotions, sprays, soaps) . It definitely makes me realize how lonely I am and how much I am missing out on life and a partner with having someone stay with you a week and then suddenly disappear. We aren’t even dating and there wasn’t sex involved and I am so pathetic over her visiting. I am pathetic. I don’t even know why I allow myself to get this way since I am such a gross specimen of a man. Anyway…

Another thing I can’t stop getting out of my head is how we were treated at Sublime. The hostess was snotty, same with the waitress. And when we went into the retail area of the restaurant (after I had already dropped a bill on dinner) Tammy noticed that they were both looking at us and watching us, then they continued to look and watch when we went to the bar to pay for the things we picked up which I noticed when the bartender was adding up our stuff. I put my displeasure on the Sublime fb page but it has since been removed without any response from them. So that makes things even more bitter in my mouth for them. I guess if I want to eat at an all vegan restaurant again, instead of driving 5 hours I will have to go to DC.
