Yesterday I went to see Barack and Hillary in Orlando. I was supposed to also see Barack in Tampa but my friend didn’t wake up in time.
We stood in line for hours waiting to get to the event. There was lots of people there and lots of different races, families, and styles. It is amazing how diverse Obama’s supporters are compared to McSames. You can see it when they speak and you are looking at people from behind, you can experience the diversity by going to a rally.
The event felt more like a music or arts festival than it did anything else. There were people selling their goods everywhere, food, shirts, buttons, hats, and other things. There was only just a couple McCain supporters there that I could see and they were surrounded by police to protect them.
We didn’t get the chance to go through security, we got there late and was in the way back of the line, and so didn’t get in very close to where the stage was. I couldn’t even tell where the stage was compared to the overflow, but we did have a big screen monitor to see them. I got a few pictures of that along with the pictures of the line. I am going to upload them later on for your viewing pleasure.
Tomorow my friend and I are going to see the lovely Mrs. Michelle in Gainsville, then going to watch W. Should be good stuff.
Ohhh…. on the way up there we saw this bilboard!
I got a pic of it on the way home but it was all blurry and stuff. So it sucks compared to this.
